Vanessa Vorland Butler

Owner & Designer

Born into a family of jewelry makers, designers, contractors and entrepreneurs, Vanessa learned early on the importance of design and the skills of a business woman. With a friendly demeanor that puts clients at ease, quiet confidence that earns their trust, and business savvy to establish and maintain strong relationships with artisans and contractors alike, Vanessa has carefully created a culture in which interior design is accessible and enjoyable. When she's not meeting with clients and researching tile and furniture schemes for the next beautiful project, Vanessa can be found enjoying time with her husband and daughter, running with her precious pup through the park, or finding the next best negroni in town.

Jen Bannister

Designer

From building custom houses in Legos to sketching floor plans for her next bedroom layout and touring model homes just for fun, Jen was interested in architecture and design from an early age. While design school laid a solid foundation of technical skills and design theory, working in the industry for a high-end residential contractor and then, by a series of fortunate events, finding Lilium, her practical know-how for understanding construction and implementing design details continues to grow. From pulling tile and paint colors to drafting and budgeting, Jen takes pride in every detail necessary to create beautiful projects and happy clients. Whether it's the coffee shop around the corner or the idyllic streets of an unknown city, Jen enjoys all things coffee drinking, good-food eating, museum visiting, and world traveling with her husband.
